Physical Graffiti released on the band’s new Swan Song label, with advance shipments in excess of 1,000,000 units, reaching number one in all three music trades, as well as in England, Australia, and several other countries around the world.
In an even more extraordinary development, all five previous Led Zeppelin albums, Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II, Led Zeppelin III, the group’s fourth album and “Houses Of The Holy” all went back on the Billboard charts. (No other artist had ever featured six albums on the charts at the same time).
